This series was politically quite heavy, with maneuvering and plotting at its centre quite a bit. (IвЂ™m being deliberately vague, I promise.) That said, my love for the characters (particularly Vin and Elend) grew in each installment so IвЂ™d definitelyВ recommend continuing! The story wraps up neatly in one book, with threads that can unravel into a trilogy afterwards. The Final Empire, book 1, can actually be read as a standalone if you donвЂ™t want to commit to an entire trilogy.
